Holkham Experience Stay

Did you know that Holkham Park and its myriad of attractions is just a few minutes’ walk from The Victoria? Book for our Holkham Experience Break and soak up the history and horticulture, art and architecture, peace and tranquility of this incredible place. Your stay includes complimentary entry to Holkham Hall, Walled Garden and Holkham Stories, Holkham guidebook, car parking pass and a gorgeous Holkham tote bag to keep everything in!

Shepherd huts and Champagne!

Our four, brand new shepherd huts have arrived. Stay in one before the end of May and you’ll receive a complimentary bottle of Champagne to enjoy as you gaze across the meadow views.

Clay Pigeon Shooting Experience

Your chance to enjoy one of the most fun country pursuits, meet Holkham’s gamekeepers and learn what they do, enjoy a tour of the park, great photo ops and – not fogetting – a delicious packed lunch (with a tot or two of sloe gin!). Whether you’ve never held a gun before, or want to hone your skills, Holkham’s keepers will be on hand throughout the clay shoot to help you hit your target.

Available for two to eight guests. Includes two nights dinner, bed and breakfast in the best room(s) available at the time of booking. Two to three hour (depending on group size) clay shoot with Holkham’s gamekeepers, with guns, cartridges, tuition (if required), tours and talks, and a packed lunch.

Great British Beef Week

We are delighted to be supporting Great British Beef Week, showcasing on of Britain’s best known products and the farmers who produce it.

The beef we serve at The Victoria comes from Holkham’s ‘conservation grazed’ herd of Belted Galloways. During the spring and summer these cattle graze the Holkham National Nature Reserve, managing the grass and providing the ideal habitat for the birds that prosper there. In late autumn they move to two large state-of-the-art cattle sheds just south of Wells-next-the-Sea.

The beef is hung for a minimum of four weeks before it is butchered, to our own specification, by Paul Graves, his son Bradley and the team at Graves Butchers of Briston. The result is slow-matured beef, lovingly prepared by our chefs who are delighted to share their delicious dishes with you on our special ‘Beef Week’ menu.

WONDER stay incentive

With the excellent Coasthopper and Coastliner bus services linking up Holkham with train stations at Sheringham, Cromer and Kings Lynn, it is easy to travel to us by public transport and reduce the carbon impact of your break and help us with Holkham’s WONDER goal of becoming a carbon negative estate.

A little bit of travel planning can be well rewarded with stunning views out of the bus window, seeing places you never usually would, and if you stay for two nights or more we’ll give you a complimentary two course dinner on your last night to say thank you. You will need to show us tickets for your whole journey to qualify.
