What’s on
Two Day Basketry Workshop
This two day basketry workshop will teach you how to weave a round basket with a traditional wrapped or contemporary wooden handle. You will learn lots of basketry techniques that will enable you to create many more beautiful baskets in the future. There will be a choice of willows to choose from, to enable you to create a unique basket to take home and treasure. You’ll learn how to create a basket base and weave the sides using French or English randing, and then complete the basket with a decorative border.
This course is designed with wellbeing in mind. Weaving and connecting with natural materials is a therapeutic process that forces us to slow down and focus.
Tickets to be purchased via www.karenbekwillow.co.uk
All craft materials are included, as well as hot drinks throughout the day. The Courtyard Café will be open for you to purchase lunch and any additional refreshments. Sorry no dogs, except assistance dogs on this workshop.
