Be brave and explorethis October half term

Spooks, thrills, delights and chills have transformed the Walled Garden for Halloween – do you dare to join us? Dress up in your strangest outfit and creep through the gardens – we’ve got oodles of spookiness (and a few sweet treats!) to surprise you:

Chilling Challenges
Grab a challenge sheet and keep your eyes peeled as you explore the spookified rooms and see how many questions you can answer! Learn about the magical plants grown in the garden and uncover the creatures that live there.

Spook Spotting
Look out for creepy ghosts floating across the lawns. Wooooooo!

Halloween Crafts
Get crafty and make a magic wand from all natural materials. Then write out a bewitching spell to cast with it! (craft materials included.)

Spooktacular Magic Show featuring Tess the Magical Cat
Tess the Magical Cat will enchant and amaze with mind-boggling tricks and spellbinding illusions in an enchanting performance that will leave you spellbound! Watch in awe as Tess brings the magic of Halloween to life before your eyes.

Pumpkin Carving
Wander up to the pumpkin patch and carve your very own scary pumpkin (£4 per pumpkin).

Dastardly Decorations
Enjoy the giant Pumpkin Patch, Ghostly Garden, Scarecrow Vineyard and Haunted Glasshouse as you creep through the garden.

Delicious drinks and snacks
Original Grinder food truck will be selling hot chocolate, coffee, cold drinks and their delicious cakes and Sin Bin’s dirty loaded donuts and luxury shakes are bound to be a hit. Extra charges apply!

Please wrap up warm as the majority of the event is outside. On arrival please enter via the North Gates using the postcode NR23 1RH and proceed to the car park where a parking charge of £6 applies.

It is all too easy to just pass through Holkham Village on the way to the beach or Holkham Park, but this traditional estate village is absolutely full of fascinating history, interesting buildings and wonderful stories of the people who’ve lived here over the centuries.

Selected Fridays in May, June and September

Join our guide on a leisurely amble within the walls, passing through the various rooms such as the kitchen garden and the cutting garden. You’ll get a brilliant insight into the newly renovated buildings such as The Messenger Glasshouse and the Samuel Wyatt Vinery.
